Allow me to share with you a tribute to one of the greatest entertainers that ever walked the face of the earth, Ms. Janet Jackson. You all may be asking yourself why in the world am I doing another post on Janet. It was not my intention to write about Janet, at least not until her new movie comes out next month, but Clay Cane got me all riled up. Somehow his readers got it all wrong by voting Janet's career and musical influence second to Madonna's. Pleazzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeee!

I will not get into all of Janet's groundbreaking moments over the 20 years she's been in the business or all of the artists she's influenced that we love today. There would have been no Aaliyah without Janet. There would be no Beyonce today without Janet! Let's be honest for a second, we all know that Janet is everything that Beyonce wants to be(cue the Beyonce fans to leave me nasty comments) . Mya, J.Lo , Britney, Christina, everything that these girls are doing Janet invented.

Madonna may have pushed the envelope with her sexuality before Janet, but when it comes down to each artists overall contribution to the music industry and their impact on people all over the world, Janet wins hands down. Maybe I'm a little bias because Janet started a Rythmn Nation in my house long before I ever heard of that other girl. What's her name again? Oh...Madonna.

So Ms. Jackson may not have gotten her just due over on my friend Clay's site, but over here she will always reign supreme. And if you need a reminder of just how fierce she is look no further than below.

Janet will always be the legend and icon she is. More so to me because she stays true to herself.

@Darian: LOL! Let me get my laugh out as i type this.
It' may not be known, but i am a hard-core Beyonce fan. I knew when i was watch your video last night on youtube that when you bring up Janet, then Beyonce would get a expected bias approach whenever Janet and Beyonce is mention at the same time on this blog.

There would be NO beyonce without janet? Darian, come on now. Janet is great in her own right, but if you meant to be today's best in the game, then you're meant to be.

Let's be completely honest here: beyonce does NOT want to be janet, i don't even see that in her.
Would janet be in Bee's top five to be for a day? Maybe, but beyonce's happy with being beyonce!

Darian, this was NOT a nasty comment, but other hard-core byonce fan would show no mercy lol.

Once again Janet is great in her own right without a doubt, one of the best! Beyonce is on top in today's world of the Music Industry.

Now Darian since you're a hard-core [appear to be bias] Janet fan. I always wonder is Janet famous for her last name, or is it all just coming Janet herself?

I hope you can answer this. Which i'm show you can!

I love Janet, but let's be honest for just a moment: she's a construction created by Johm McClain, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and most of all Rene Elizondo. The proof lies in her musical output since she split with Rene.

Janet is incredibly talented, but her talent has always been conveyed by someone else's direction--the latest of whom is the detestable misogynist, Jermaine Dupri.
