Usher makes his Broadway debut tonight in the sexy Bob Fosse musical Chicago He will be playing the role of Billy Flynn, the crooked lawyer hired to get the infamous serial killers Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly off the hook for living a lifestyle filled with murder, sex, and all that jazz.

I couldn't think of any other pop star more appropriate to step into this role. Usher is the ultimate entertainer and he and the character he's portraying are similar in many ways.

Usher is sure to bring a new group of people to the theater who may not have ever been exposed to live theater before, that alone is very exciting.

I'm curious to know how he will interact with the very openly gay theater community( i.e. all of the male dancers in the ensemble) . I'm sure he has gay people on his personal staff currently, but it's not as easy to live openly gay in hip-hop circles, broadway is a totally different ball game, being gay is an uspoken requirement. lol!

Regardless, I'm sure he's going to light up the stage. I think I feel a trip to New York coming on.

I'm an Usher fan, and I love the movie Chicago... question is, is it worth the money to see it on broadway?

I would go if someone took me, lol.

hmm...u think the Broadway boyz have a chance of "ushering" Mr. Raymond over to the other side? Things that make ya go....hmmmmmmm.....

I'm ready for Usher to get his ass back to the gym and recording studio, and show these lil' boys how it's really done. I own 8701 and confessions and think they are both still hot to def! And damn can that man work out some dance!
