I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!!! Sorry, I know that was corny but that's exactly how I feel. E. Lynn is one of my favorite authors and I've never had the chance to meet him, but that will all change next week. E.Lynn will be signing copies of his new book "I Say A Little Prayer" all over L.A. next week and I will be there with my copy in hand to get his autograph. Book signing locations and times can be found on his website.

His story of selling his first book out of the trunk of his car, at beauty shops, and by word of mouth is so inspiring. Every single book he's written has landed on the New York Times bestseller list and he's accquired a large fan base along the way.

His latest work stays true to the E. Lynn formula for literary success, but he tackles the hot button issue of homophobia in the church for the first time. Go pick it up if you haven't already, it's a page turner! So the countdown begins today, only 6 more days to go!

Its so cool that you still get excited about E. coming to town. I once felt the same way. After being givin his first book by a bisexual friend of mine who whanted me to understand him better, I became a huge fan in one night. I could not put the book down, for the first time I truly couldnt stop to sleep or eat untill I had finished. Tears poured from my face and I felt like I too had lost a friend at the end of the book. My love of E. continued from book to book untill Yancy came along. She marked the transition from heartfelt books from an honest black gay perspective to what seemed to me to be a soap opera for fearfull straight women. I still had love for E. but when it came to his autobiography I couldnt even finish it. I still havent picked up the new book. I hope you post a review of it. His well publicized return to "gay" issues is good to hear but is it too little too late? Please let us know.

This book also marks the first book tour after the second book that I am missing. What ever city I lived in I always made sure to see him but it didnt even occur to me to go this time. I wish I still had the love that you do for him. I hope when I do get around to reading it, that I feel again the way he made me me feel almost 10 years ago on that sleepless night.
